Optimal Setup

  •   Long Term Goal (Domain: Folders)
    • Bar Graph of targets mastered across all programs
  •   Short Term Goal (Program: Tabs)
    • Bar Graph of targets mastered in individual programs
  •  Target Goal (Target: Cards)
    • Line Graph of individual targets

To set up a Long Term Goal:

  1. Navigate to the Clinical module and select Library 
  2. Select a learning tree in draft mode
  3. Click +Add Your First Branch or the + on the right-hand side
  4. Name Branch (Long Term Objective)
  5. Click Save as Draft

To set up a Short Term Goal:

  1. Click on the Long Term Goal and then the + on the right-hand side to Add Branch
    • This new branch will appear under the Long Term Goal
  2. Name Branch (Short Term Objective)
  3. Attach Instructional Note Template via the Select template  
  4. Click skill acquisition template
  5. Click Save as Draft

To set up a Target Goal:

  1. Click on the Short Term Goal and then the + on the right-hand side to Add Branch and select Data Collection
    • This new branch will appear under the Short Term Goal
  2. Name Branch (Target objective)
  3. Attach criterion template (verbal or physical), by clicking on Import Template in Criteria & Prompting (Bottom of screen)
  4. Click (verbal or physical) template
  5. Click Save as Draft

Data Collection Details & other Options

  • Optional Branch Settings: (ability to pull entry into note/forms)
    • Date Initiated: Date program placed on acquisition (automatic – relates to client books)
    • Assessment: Codes the assessment where goal is derived from (drop-down menu)
    • Discipline: Specifies type of service (E.g. ABA, speech, O/T)
    • Domain: Specifies skill or behavior reduction domain
    • Record: Specifies type of record (E.g. Medical, educational, other)
    • Responsibility: Specifies responsible party for data collection (E.g. Service provider, client, parent)
    • Initial Goal Status: Status of program at start (automatic – relates to client books)

Adding Subsequent Branches

  • Adding a New Long Term Goal: Click on Binder Level (Bold Name at the top –  E.g. Goal Bank) and
  • Adding a New Short Term Goal: Click on a Long Term Goal and +
  • Adding a New Target Goal: Click on Short Term Goal and +

The 3 Tier Model in Learning Trees, ensures consistent documentation in Note/Forms when reports are generated for funding sources. Drop in information is fully customizable. By specifying the exact format and clinical information to pull reports, all (or most) goal information may be automated.

  • Page branches (Resource) may be inserted above and/or between goals, not effecting the tiering
