There are several branch types in learning trees. The cumulative and data collection branches are used most frequently to build programming and analyze progress.
The different branch types are:
- Cumulative
- Displays graph of goals mastered over time (Automatic-Indirect Data Collection).
- Most commonly used for long term and short term goals.
- Resources (e.g. videos, tests, forms, files, etc.) can also be added to this branch.
- Data Collection
- Displays the standard data graph (Manual-Direct Data Collection).
- Most commonly used for targets.
- Library
- Ports programming from an existing learning tree library template into a new template.
- Resource
- Typically only used with LMS.
- The different types of resources include:
- Pages: Additional placeholders
- Videos: Display of pre-recorded videos
- Files: Document storage
- Q&A Test: Quizzes
- Forms: Checklists
- Please note, Resource branches only show the branch description and comments in the session. Attaching a second-tier, short term goal will display the targets ordered below it in the session. However, adding any information to the “Branch Description” will show on the Resource page.
