Learn / Clinical Edit an Active Session Date and/or Time

The following users can edit active session date/times:

  • Org accounts
    • Can edit session times of a session another user started
  • Anyone with access that has collected time
    • For example, if user A collects time and user B opens the session without collecting data, user B cannot edit the session time

Learn / Clinical Goals List

The Goals List is a premium feature that can be accessed by navigating to the  Learn module, selecting Clinical, and then Goals List. View a snapshot of how all of your clients’ goals and targets are progressing, by filtering the list using the search bar, or clicking the funnel icon to the right of the Clients and Goal columns.

The Goals list includes the following columns:

  • Type: long term, short term, or target level
  • Status: on hold, not active, in progress, met, or discontinued
  • Domain: chosen domain from that branches goals details menu
  • Phase: current phase for all data collection branches. This column will be empty for all levels designated as cumulative goals
  • Date Initiated: date goals were put into progress
  • Progress: number of sub branches that are mastered
    • For example, “9 of 11” means that 9 out of 11 goals are marked “mastered” in the client book
  • % Completion: equals the number of mastered targets/total targets X 100
  • Graph: view target goals
    • Method: data collection type for each target
      • Baseline: average score for target
      • Intervention: average intervention score for target
        • Count: number of data points graphed in intervention
    • Trend: mathematical trend of graphed data
      • Green: a desired trend (E.g. increasing skill acquisition and decreasing behavior reduction)
      • Red: an undesired trend (E.g. decreasing skill acquisition and increasing behavior reduction)
      • Yellow: not an increasing or decreasing trend
    • Score: last graphed entry for target

Learn / Clinical Goals List Report

The Goals List report includes the following information:

  • Client: client name
  • Goal: goal title name (name of branch)
  • Type: long term, short term, target
  • Status: status from the Goal tab of branch
  • In Progress Date: Date last put “in progress”
  • Met Date: most recent met date (current met date)
  • One Hold Date: most recent on hold date (current on hold date)
  • Discontinued Date: most recent discontinued date (current discontinued date)
  • Domain: label from the Goal tab under domain
  • Assessment: label from the Goal tab under assessment
  • Discipline: label from the Goal tab under discipline
  • Record: label from the Goal tab under record
  • Responsibility: label from the Goal tab under responsibility
  • Phase: phase it is currently in (baseline, intervention, generalization, maintenance)
  • Date Initiated: date first “initiated,” when the branch was made in learning tree
  • Progress: on any branch that has branches under it (usually a long term or short term), this would be the total MET out of the total “in progress” branches in that section
  • % Completion: same calculation as “Progress,” in a percentage
  • Graph: hyperlink to the graph of that branch (that row’s branch)
  • Method: data collection type from the branch
  • Baseline: average value of all baseline data points (sum of all baseline values divided by number of baseline values)
  • Intervention: average value of all intervention data points (sum of all intervention values divided by number of intervention values)
  • Count: the number of data points while in intervention
  • Trend: trend calculated based on split middle acceleration calculation
  • Last Point by User: name of who entered the most recent data point
  • Last Tracked: date of the last entry in this branch (last graphed date)
  • Duration: if duration type of data, shows the most recent score (current score)
  • Score: if any other data types, shows the most recent score (current score)

Learn / Clinical Group Sessions

Group Sessions is a premium feature that allows you to create single-use sessions for individual clients or Classrooms for continuous sessions with 2-6 clients. Classrooms are created and saved over time under group sessions for students who are continuously paired together and allow quick access to start a social skills group, a lunch bunch, or other paired situations.

Learn / Clinical Learning Tree Labels

Organizations use Learning Tree labels to label branches with keywords or phrases, making it easier to search and filter through the Goals List. Also, labels help organizations effectively conduct quality control reports on programming.

  • Examples of Learning Tree labels are:
    • High Intensity Aggression
    • Core Skills
    • Toileting

Learning Tree labels carry over when:

  • Copying a branch in a client’s learning tree
  • Pulling over branches from library templates that have Learning Tree labels
    • Labels will carry over into your client’s personal learning tree
  • Making Marketplace purchases that use organizational Learning Tree labels
    • Labels will appear on the designated branches on your client’s learning tree when you use these templates

Learn / Clinical Learning Tree Options: Access and Sharing

When creating or editing a learning tree, the following access and sharing options are available to control who can view or edit the learning tree:

  • Can Edit: allows the user to view and modify anything within the tree
  • Read Only: grants the user access to the tree, but will not allow them to make any modifications
  • Remove Access: click the trash can  icon next to any contact to remove them from the tree

Learn / Clinical Learning Trees

Learning Trees are clients’ program books or binders and can be accessed and built by navigating to the  Learn module and selecting Clinical.

  1. Learning trees allow clinicians to:
    • Develop custom programming
    • Modify existing curriculum templates
    • Automate graphing and adjustment of visual displays
    • Entry of Phase Changes, Event, & Goal Lines

2. The learning tree structure serves three different functions:

  • Clinical
    • Learning trees in the clinical section are used as program books for specific clients. They become part of a client’s personal medical records and cannot be shared or reproduced
  • Courses
    • Learning trees in the Courses & Trainings section are used to create CEU courses, or staff training for employees of an agency. Employee progress can be tracked, and certificates of completion can be generated
  • Library Templates
    • Learning trees in the library section are generic program templates that can be used repeatedly and either assigned to a client, or imported into a client learning tree, and then modified to meet individual needs. These are most often used to create goal banks in an agency

The Marketplace menu in the  Learn module provides access to the CentralReach Marketplace to download courses, such as:

  • Curriculum banks
  • Single user RBT training
  • Single user CEU’s
  • CentralReach software training courses on Practice Management and Clinical modules

Learn / Clinical Sessions

Sessions are CentralReach’s electronic Data Sheets and can be accessed by navigating to the  Learn module and selecting Clinical.

Here, therapists can:

  • Access a session timer and see all of the targets a client is currently working on
  • Take data on the targets, according to the prompting and data collection types you establish
  • See instructional notes on each target
  • Write comments about each target
  • Graph and see graphed data on the most recent data points and prompts used
  • Pin targets (like ABC data collection targets) to one location for easy access

Learn / Clinical Understanding Data Collection Types

The following data collection types are available within the Data Collection Details section.

To configure learning tree targets data collection types:

  • Percent Correct: scores a plus for correct responses and a minus for incorrect responses. Add prompt strategies and record if the student was correct or incorrect while using a given prompt. The total percentage will be calculated as the plus quantity divided by the total opportunities
    • or x and Independent Coding of an entire Prompting Hierarchy (+ or x)
    • Calculated as Number correct/total trials
    • 0-100 Y-axis
    • Uses: Skill Acquisition (Discrete skills)

  • Percent Independent: scores either independent, no response, or error, with the option to add prompt strategies. Set up prompts to track. “Independent” and any clicked prompts, score a plus, while “NR” and “ERR” score a minus. The total percentage will be calculated as the plus quantity divided by the total opportunities
    • Independent, Error, No Response, or single Prompt
    • Calculated as Number independent/Total opportunities
    • 0-100 Y-axis
    • Optional: count prompts as negative (E.g. Failed trial if prompt used) and ability to set up a default on the user’s device to always count prompts as negative
    • Uses: Skill Acquisition (Requesting & Activities of Daily Living)

    • Duration: duration will calculate the length of a specific behavior. You will be prompted to either enter the length of a behavior or use a timer while in “session”
      • Start/Stop
      • Calculated as Total Time
      • Y-axis adjusts based on bounce envelope
      • Can graph by duration of episode or total duration
      • Uses: Activities/Behavior (Total time)
  • Task Analysis: set up a number of trials and the steps to follow. As defaults, “independent” and any clicked prompts score a plus, while “NR” and “ERR” score a minus. Options include Whole Chain where each step is scored, and Forward/Backward Chaining where only the current step is scored. The graphed value will reflect the percent of all correct steps divided by all total steps scored
    • Independent, Error, No Response, or Single Prompt
      • Calculated as number independent steps/total number of steps
      • 0-100 Y-axis
      • Optional: “Count prompts as negative” (E.g. Failed step if prompt used) and ability to set up a default on the user’s device to always count prompts as negative
      • Auto Generated Systematic Prompt Fading (E.g. Criterion moves from most to least for each step)
    • Uses: skill acquisition (Sequence Programs, Echoic Breakdowns, and Activities of Daily Living)

  • Rate: calculates the frequency of instances a behavior has over a time interval. CentralReach calculates rate as a per minute sample. The graphed value is the rate of behavior per minute
    • Timer and + or –
    • The user can adjust axis (E.g. Same visual display – dynamic Y-axis)
    • Identical Raw data vs Graphed Display
      • Minute Display: 1-hour timing with 60 instances = 1/min
      • Hour Display: 1-hour timing with 60 instances = 60/hour
      • Entire Day Display equal to 1-hour timing with 60 instances equal to 1440/day
    • Caution: entire day display (assumes learner engages in behavior continuously) Calculated as behavior/minute (Default)
    • Uses: Skill Acquisition/Behavior (Tracking how often behavior is occurring)

  • Rating Scale: rates a behavior or skill from 1 to 5. If running multiple trials, the final score will be the average rating of all trials
    • 0-5 Slider Bar (Liker Scale)
    • 0-5 Y-axis
    • Uses: Behavior (Magnitude)

  • Score: calculates a final number for behavior tracking. In a session, the “score” method of input is a keypad
    • Keypad
    • Calculated as total number
    • Y-axis adjusts based on bounce envelope
    • Uses: Skill Acquisition (Total Values of worksheets)
      • Frequency is advised as an alternative to this data type

  • Time Sampling: used for partial or whole interval recording, as well as momentary time sampling. An audio alert will tell you when to enter data. The graphed calculation will be a percent of the intervals with a score divided by total intervals
      • Timer and or x calculated as number of intervals with/total intervals
      • 0-100 Y-axis
      • Set interval length and number of intervals (beep at end)
      • Timer start may be tied to data sheet timer
    • Uses: Skill Acquisition/Behavior (Tracking if behavior occurred in set intervals)

  • Frequency: calculates the number of instances of a behavior or skill
    • + or – and/or numbers may be typed in
    • Calculated as total number (+ increases the total count, – decreases the total count)
    • Y-axis adjusts based on bounce envelope
    • Uses: behavior (Total Count)

Learn / Clinical VB-MAPP

CentralReach offers an electronic version of the Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program (VB-MAPP), a commonly used language assessment tool for individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities. This scoring protocol is the same version of B.F. Skinner’s behavioral analysis of language, verbal behavior, and establishment of developmental milestones and includes all of the features that many BCBAs are already familiar with. These components include the Milestones Assessment, Barriers Assessment, Transition Assessment, and Early Echoic Skills Assessment (EESA).

Learn / Clinical Video Resource IDs

When adding a video resource branch type to a Learning Tree, there are four options to choose from:

  • Upload: upload a file from your computer. The maximum size is 1GB
  • YouTube: you will be prompted to enter a YouTube ID. The YouTube ID is included within the URL of the YouTube video you are adding to the branch, and is the value of the last section of the URL after the equal (=) sign

  • Vimeo: similar to YouTube, you will be prompted to enter a Vimeo ID. The ID is included within the URL of the Vimeo video you are adding to the branch, and is the value of the last section of the URL after the (/) sign

  • Existing Resource: an item from the Resources module
